Sophie, a mum from London she tried this stroller on two daughters who were 5 and 10 months. She used it on uneven, hilly terrain and cobbled streets and found the pushchair to be very smooth and easy to manoeuvre. 4. Joovy Twin Roo+
A simple frame stroller The Twin Roo+ offers car seat click-in and a large storage bin. It's one of the lightest twin strollers on the market. It weighs 24 lbs without attachments for infant car seats which is light for a double stroller. It is slightly heavier than the UPPAbaby Vista v2 Double and the Thule Urban Glide 2 Double.
The Roo+ comes with a quick-start guide and is easy to use. It is easy to put together and takes less than 10 minutes to become road-ready. It doesn't have a canopy built-in therefore you will need to provide your own sunshades for your children if they want additional protection from the elements.
In our tests, we discovered the Roo+ to maneuver well for a stroller that doubles as a stroller. It can navigate most terrains, but it has issues on grassy areas and over gravel. It isn't easy to navigate over and up 1-inch curbs. We do not recommend taking this stroller off-road or on stairs, but it does have a great suspension to reduce bumps for passengers.
The Roo+ has a large storage bin under the seat, but it's hard to access without removing infant car seats. This is a problem that twin frame strollers commonly face, but Joovy offers a separate baby carrier that fits under the seat to help solve this issue.
The Roo+ doesn't have a self-standing fold or cup holders. This is a minor sacrifice to make for its car seat compatibility and storage capabilities, but we'd prefer a little more versatility from our strollers. The stroller's versatility when it comes to seating configuration is a huge benefit. Parents can put their infant car seats in either opposite directions or in the same direction, based on their requirements.
5. Delta Children LX Side-by-Side
The Delta Children LX Side by Side earned an outstanding score for both the weight and fold size making it the best value in our double umbrella stroller review. It also scored well for maneuverability, which is an important quality for parents who are looking for a stroller for travel that can fit into small spaces. The Delta is a basic product and does not have the features other strollers we tested offer like a large storage basket or a long recline. But it is an excellent choice for families on a tight budget and those who require an additional stroller for short-term use, like going to the zoo for a day.
The LX Side by Side is a light compact stroller that's easy to turn and push. Its comparatively short frame with swivel front wheels, swivel rear wheels and padding for the shoulder pads ensure the perfect ride for your children. The multi-position reclining seats and parent cup holders ensure that passengers are comfortable.
It also has a large canopy with a European style that offers shade from the sun and some protection from light winds. It also comes with two storage bags and a five-point harness for safety.
The Delta was put together in less than 3 minutes, which is the fastest time of all test groups. The manual is standard and doesn't require any tools to assemble. It is among our lighter products and folds flat making it easy to lift and transport. In our Strollers & Multiples test, we rate the ease and smoothness with the ease with which each product can be turned and pushed, opened and closed the safety harness, adjusted the brakes, opened and closed the storage basket, and installed and removed an infant car seat.
